Pokemon Announces New Set: Battle Legion

Scheduled for release sometime in February, Pokemon Japan recently announced their newest TCG set titled Battle Legion. Unlike VMAX Climax, which is considered a higher-class set, Battle Legion is expected to be a special set which means it wont have a full roster of secret rare cards.

New details released by Pokemon also suggest that Battle Legion will be containing a new card type known as Sparkling Cards. Similar to Shiny Pokemon, Sparkling Pokemon will have a unique holographic pattern and a unique holofoil. As it stands, only Greninja and Hawlucha have been identified as potential Sparkling Pokemon but it’s possible more will be revealed.

Battle Legion booster packs will each contain six cards rather than the usual five found in regular sets. The set is also expected to include 67 cards in total (not counting Secret Rares). It’s unclear at this time what the American version of this set will look like once adapted.
